Nurse Staffing Solutions Student Drop Procedure

Policy:
When a student enrolls in the NSS program, they have one week for you to notify us if they will not be continuing. During this time, the student should not have completed the first section of the program. This section typically takes about 5.5 hours to complete, and we have observed that students intending to drop generally do not come close to finishing these hours.

Process:

  1. The student notifies the facility administrator or instructor that they will not be continuing with the program, or the facility administrator decides to drop the student.
  2. The facility administrator or instructor informs the NSS client success manager (CSM) via email within 7 calendar days of the student’s initial login and before the student completes section one of the blended program, indicating that the student will not be continuing.
  3. The CSM will notify NSS accounting and will either:
    • Not bill the facility for that student if they have not been invoiced yet.
    • If they have been invoiced, provide a credit for the facility to use on a future enrollment.
  4. NSS will then notify the facility administrator or instructor with a confirmation via email.

Note: A student can be delayed at any time, and their enrollment will remain open for one year from the initial login.

Our highly interactive system is engaging and will ensure you learn the material necessary to pass the national exam to become certified. Student interaction is required to progress in the course. Graduates are qualified to sit for professional licensing exams and are prepared to work in homes, transitional care units, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings. In addition, upon graduation, students will have access to the resources of the staffing firm for job placement.

Beginning in 2023, the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission developed of a common curriculum for nursing assistant training programs. The goal is to reduce variability across training programs, support improved pass rates, integrate Specialty Training classes on the topics of developmental disabilities, mental health, and dementia; and provide a pathway for seamless educational and career progression into nursing. NSS is happy to be one of the first programs to offer this holistic, person-centered care curriculum framework.
